Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress

Hi, students!

Tonight I borrowed a DVD from the library and watched it at home. It is a film I had seen a few years ago, but this time it was more meaningful to me. Why? Because of what you have shared with me and taught me about the Cultural Revolution.

Have you seen it? The trailer is HERE.

I'll bet many of you have seen it.

What did you think of this movie when you saw it?

You can leave a comment below.

I hope you're enjoying your summer break. I can't wait to hear about Yellowstone National Park from Shurong and Weimiao.

  1. Hello, Kelly. How are you?
I already finished watching the movie Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress. This was my first time watching it. Before the Revolution, China's countryside, especially in the mountainous areas, were just like this. I've not only been there multiple times, I've also lived there for 3 years. So, the movie's content, to me, is not new. After the Revolution, Chinese villages experienced a momentous change.
The countryside now, is very developed. If you wish to, I can bring you there for a visit.
    Sincerely,
    Weiying Jin
