Switched at Birth
Hello, Cas' class!
Have you ever heard of babies being switched at birth? What do you think would happen if baby A went home with family B and baby B went home with family A? Would the babies grow up to be more like the parents who gave them their genes or more like the parents who raised them?
Visit the This American Life website to listen to a podcast about two baby girls who really went home with the wrong families! One mother knew about the mistake, but the other mother didn't. The secret was kept for over 40 years. Find out what happened.
If you want to read while you listen, click "PLAY" and also click "TRANSCRIPT."
When you finish, feel free to use any of the websites on the right to practice English. Be prepared to discuss the story in class.

Organ Donation
Hello, Cas' class!
As you know, last week we read an article about organ donation. We also discussed this in pairs. Today you can visit the Trillium Gift of Life Network to read more about how Ontarians become donors. There is a video you can watch, or you can even register as a donor at beadonor.ca.
Cas said that some of you became interested last week in the Cuban Missile Crisis story of 1962. Feel free to Google that and read more about it. Then you can continue discussing it tomorrow in class.
Feel free to use any of the links on the right side of this web log.
Enjoy!
