Hello, class!
There are some fun things happening this weekend. Go here to read about Carrousel by the River.
The Downtown Windsor Farmer's Market opens this weekend. Go HERE to explore dates, map, list of vendors, etc.
I would like each student to report to the class on one volunteer opportunity in Windsor.
Tell me which one you would like to report on and I will write your name down for this one. Here are the choices:
Hospice of Windsor and Essex County
Centres for Seniors
Capitol Theatre and Arts Centre
Downtown Mission of Windsor
Meals on Wheels
YMCA of Windsor and Essex
North American Black Historical Museum and Cultural Centre
Snow Angels
Unemployed Help Centre
Windsor Public Library - Adult Literacy Program
Windsor Essex Low Vision Social and Support Group
AIDS Committee of Windsor
Art Gallery of Windsor
Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County
Level 3 - You will tell the class what the organization does and where it is located.
Level 4 + - You will try to persuade your classmates to volunteer for this organization. Give many reasons why!
When you finish your research, you may continue with last week's activities (below).

When you're done, you can find out what's happening in Windsor this weekend.
The biggest event is ART IN THE PARK. When does it start? How much does it cost to get in?
It's also the weekend of the LaSalle Strawberry Festival! The bus that goes there is the South Windsor 7.
There will be many yard sales this weekend. Look on Kijiji. Or in the Windsor Star. Are there any near you? Write down two addresses near you.
