Hello, seniors' class!
This week we watched this video. In discussion groups, we asked each other, "What would you do if you saw someone collapse in public?" We used the video to explore different scenarios and learned an odd idiomatic expression, to freak out.
We unscrambled parts of the transcript. The next day, we filled in the missing language and practiced our dialogues with the 911 dispatcher. Monday we will continue performing our role plays in front of the class since only two pairs had time to do it.
Next week we will use our Family and Friends Anytime CPR kit with inflatable dummy and DVD. We will also learn about the AED that is on the wall in the lobby.
This video demonstrates how to use the AED model that we have at our school.
If you wish, you may practice BASIC emergency words.
Take a quiz about emergency situations.
English in Vancouver has some great videos, like this on on calling 9-1-1.
Or use Ellis software. Enjoy!
